In the initial phase of maidaan movie, syed rahim used to train the player of football, the team lose to win many times internationally. In the meeting, when a member of All India Football Federation asked to syed rahim(Ajay devgan), because of you, players were not performing well on the ground. Syed Rahim answered, something needs to be changed, like our players not playing well because of barefoot or I would find the best players from other states of india.

*Important: Players were not used to wearing football’s shoes.

All the members of AIFF were blamed to Syed Rahim sahib, that you have taken this responsibility of match loss otherwise you can resign from the coach position. After That Rahim told them about the changes of team players and their barefoot situation.

Rahim made the shoes which was wearing during the match. He had taken 2 years to build the best football team in india. As you know, if we are running on the track of success, obstacles always knock the door. Same as Gajraj Rao, who was the chief of the newspaper company. Rao was the one of the person, who always created trouble between Syed and his success in football. He says we have the best player from Bengal, but rahim took these players from the different states of india. Mostly, During those decades, the Football game was played in Bengal only, then why had he brought these teams from outside of the state.

At the first meeting of Gajraj to Rahim, Rao made fun of him, that’s why both did not enjoy their time together. Rao was very clever.

The most important point we want to discuss with all of you is that, do not try to smoke. It is not good for health, people tried to smoke for fun, not even knowing how dangerous it is. This will not show its effect initially, but some years have passed, it can throw you in a coffin.

Smoking shows its result slowly. People are making fun of this. Smoking is just a smoke, not a dangerous matter, they thought life is one time, just enjoyed as you can. But they forget about their parents ,while smoking, who gives you life.

Why are we stopping you from smoking? Because Syed Rahim in this story used to smoke and become cancer patients. He had a liver cancer patient, even doctors prescribed medicine for him and told him to not use the cigarette. In Fact, he used to smoke after the doctor’s suggestion.

Back to the story, When Syed and his team went to another match of football, They lost the match again but they were proud by the foreigner because their playing strategies were unimaginary, it was a wonder. Whole the crowd shouted “India – India”, “India – India.” 

But nobody knew what was next for Rahim. Rahim was forcefully resigned from the coach position by the majority of votes from in-house members.

He got into liver cancer trouble, he spent his time with his wife. Even his family knows that he suffered from cancer, he had only 2 years of life. He thought his dream to get the gold medal for India was no more. But we know sometimes, all women are lucky for their man. 

Saira Rahim inspired him to fight for his dream, if you know, you are going to die. Then why are you not giving your best, it can help you to die without any regret from your life.

The story took place in a new plane, where he didn’t go back, Rahim joined as the coach again, he trained their old team, and motivated them. His students were trained well. They called a conference meeting with a new reporter. But as you know, Rao didn’t forget his insulted moment. 

He was messaged to the home ministry for not sending the football team in the Asian Game. Because to save the currency during the inflation. Rahim reached Delhi to talk with the home ministry that if their players were not playing in this asian world cup, then India will never get the gold as per the current situation. The Ministry approved them to play but they were cut-off the extra bill like; mad for washing clothes and cooking food.

Football teams were ready to play, they had no need of any servants, they could survive, even cook food by themselves. The whole struggle succeeded in the matches and the team won the 1st Gold for India in a Football match.

From this movie we learned that if we have decided a goal, at any cost we can not stop ourselves from succeeding. Issues, and problems are always in your way of a roadmap. Nobody in this world achieved this without any rejection. Learn to fail fast this will help you to achieve fast.
